Newsletter OF THE Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM
DeCember 2015
The best comes last
Dear Friends of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM,

"Christmas knows no borders. It connects cultures, genders, children and adults, poor and rich" (Gudrun Kropp)

With the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM we want to break down borders at Christmastime, but also contribute to intercultural and interreligious cooperation on a long-term basis. Consequently we are informing you without delay on our new website about current developments in the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM.

The Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM Team wishes you, your family and all friends of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM a peaceful and enjoyable Christmas.

THE ANNUAL MEETING 2015
"Practise International Solidarity!" That was the motto at the Annual Meeting 2015 of the scholarship holders and alumni of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM. 250 guests got together in the historical Konzil in Konstanz to find out specifically how "Practise International Solidarity!" can be put into practice. The joint examination of worldwide events just a few days before the terror attack in Paris, numerous intercultural, interreligious and international meetings and the very personal exchange of ideas were the central elements of the event. A varied programme with a GPS City Rally and workshops made it easier for people to get to know each other. Go straight to the article

COMMITMENT FOR THE FUTURE
We want to present an example of how the motto "Practise International Solidarity!" is implemented to you today: Our scholarship holder Juliane Hoss is fighting to combat inequality in African society. She is convinced that a person's social background should not be allowed to determine what opportunities they have in life. She has therefore founded the association "Bridging Gaps e.V.".  This is designed to enable young people in Pretoria, South Africa, to obtain access to education and participate in society. Perhaps you would also like to help at Christmas? Juliane will be pleased to receive any type of support, be it through crowdfunding or in some other way. Find out more
